CGSA Savannah Rec Cup 2001

 Welcome!

 Coastal Georgia Soccer Association  wishes to invite your recreational team to the historic city of Savannah Georgia on the weekend of November 17 & 18, 2001 for the twelfth Annual  Coastal Georgia Soccer Association Savannah Rec Cup.This tournament is an exciting opportunity to compete in a city of beauty, in an environment of fun and sportsmanship.We welcome you and hope you enjoy us as much as we do hosting you!

 

Format

Each team is guaranteed three (3) matches with the championships on Sunday, November 18.In order to provide the best possible playing facilities for this tournament, we are limiting the number of teams so please get your applications in as soon as possible.

 

Location

Most games will be played at the host site: Chatham County Soccer Complex (CCSC).

Additionally, Guy Minick Park, across from CCSC will be used.

 

Entry Fee

Two Hundred and Seventy five Dollars per team ($275).Once a team is accepted, the entry fee is non-refundable.In the event a team is not accepted the full tournament fee is returned.No refund will be made in the event of cancellation or shortening of games due to inclement weather.

Awards

Division champions and finalists receive a team trophy and individual players receive medals.

 

Referees

USSF certified three (3) person crews will be used. Anyone interested in refereeing the tournament should contact referee coordinator, Frank Gill at (912) 233-2952.

 

Team Registration

Friday, November 16, 2000 from 5-8 p.m. at the host hotel.All teams must provide all required forms at this time.There will be no coaches meeting, the Tournament Committee will be available to answer any questions before, during and after registration for your convenience.

 

General Rules

        The Tournament Director reserves the right to decide on all matters pertaining to the tournament and his decision is final.

        No protests are allowed

        The tournament and its sponsor shall not be responsible for any expenses incurred by a team or individual if the tournament is cancelled in whole or in part.

        All teams must be USYSA registered teams and in good standing with their state affiliated association.State associations will be notified of any problems.Irregularities in player or team information may result in dismissal from the tournament.

 

Age Divisions and Qualifications

        Recreational teams only

        Boys or Coed U10-16

        Girls only U10-16

        Teams are limited to a maximum roster of 14 players for U10, and 18 players for U12 and up

        U10 teams play 8 per side and will use GYSA modified rules (supplied in acceptance package)

        U12 and up teams will play 11 per side

        Teams are allowed up to 3 guest players, not to exceed roster limit

        Athena, Premier and Classic guest players are prohibited

        No player may be registered on more than one team

        No in-house all-star teams are allowed

 

Documentation

Each team must provide at or before registration, the following:

        Current USYSA Player Passes

        Medical and Liability Release Notorized

        Two copies of their certified state issued USYSA Team Rosters

        Permission to travel (out of state teams only)

        4 Completed team game cards (sent in acceptance package)

T-shirts

Pre-order forms for the tournament T�s will be included in the acceptance package.Pre-orders will sell for $12 for short sleeved shirts and $14 for long sleeved shirts.Tournament prices for shirts will be $14 for short sleeved and $17 for long sleeved shirts.

 

General Information

        Tournament rules, maps, T-shirt pre-order forms, medical/liability releases and game cards will be included in acceptance package

        Action photos will be offered for sale during the tournament

        Tournament entry fee is $275.

        Acceptance packages will be mailed the week of November 1st.

        Championship games will be played on Sunday
