It was a great weekend for the Rovers ’97 team who beat some good competition throughout the weekend to claim the tophy. It was even more pleasing for coach Max Alcocer as all the new players seemed to fit into the team and system very well. Along the way to the final the Rovers ’97 team beat Charlotte Soccer Academy Copa 2-1, ’97 Premier 2-0 and HFC Red in the final 5-2. The team now look forward to the fall 2011 season where they will be competing in Classic I, currently the highest division in the state of GA for their age group.
